2022 Africa Oil Week – Ivory Coast Representation

Africa Oil Week was held from Oct 3-7, 2022, in Cape Town South Africa under the theme ‘’Powering the Sustainable Future of the African Upstream’’. It saw 10 National showcases, uncountable meetings, ministerial addresses and B2B meetings among the participants. The Cote d’Ivoire National Showcase took place on Oct and was led by the cote d’Ivoire minister of mines, oil and energy, Mr Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly. This Cote d’Ivoire showcase seen a strong participation from companies already operation in Cote d’Ivoire as well as operators interested in the sedimentary basin of the country especially after the stride made recently offshore Cote’ Ivoire. A promotion of the blocs in the San Pedro basin was made to all participants.

Mr Danho Patrick from the direction of the hydrocarbons in charge of the regulation of the sector made a presentation on the laws and policies governing the oil and gas sector in the country. He presented the laws that the country has put in place to ease business for all operators bith in the exploration and the development phase. A special emphasise was made on the local content bill for the oil and gas sector that is to be full released in 2022.

This was later on seconded by a presentation of Mr Saoue Henri, representing the oil and gas local service companies in Cote d’Ivoire. There exists local, companies in the country that covers the entire spectrum of the oil and gas upstream sector. All operators coming into the country should be able to count on all of those local companies for the success of their operations in the country.
